In 1911, Herman Schwarz and his business partner, Rheinhold Frommer, established their butcher shop in San Francisco, California. Seventeen years later, a different German business duo started a different company called Home sausages. The two brands merged in 1998, combining decades of sausage-making experience.
We built our new facility in a city outside of San Francisco nearly twenty years ago, where we do what we do best. We've brought our past into the present, using state-of-the-art equipment and innovative production techniques.
